Some Usual And Unusual Suspects For Fourth Of July Fireworks In Las Vegas And Henderson
Happy Birthday America! Love everything about the Fourth of July but especially the fireworks.
The National Weather Service predicts the July 4th sky will be calm and clear here in Las Vegas. That means a great viewing background for the colorful displays.
The nation's first July 4th was on a Thursday. It's Wednesday this year, so fireworks have been happenin' since Saturday night. Here is my curated list of cool places to see the fireworks on a hot July night.
The High Roller at the Linq. Why crane you neck looking up when you can be right there? Book one of the 28 cabins at the High Roller and watch the fireworks from as high as 550 feet in the air. After the fireworks, all the cabins will turn red, white and blue. I guess you'll have to see those from the ground.
Station Casinos. Stations has the best fireworks. Been watching 'em for 20 years. The locals company rotates casinos. This year its Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Red Rock Resort in Summerlin and Texas Station and Fiesta Rancho in the north. The pyrotechnics start at 9. But parking is tight so I'd get there early. The buffet?
Mandalay Bay. You can pay $20 to see Mystic Roots, a reggae band, at the beach pool. At 9 pm the fireworks go off. If you don't like reggae or don't want to pay, just watch on the sidewalk, Strip-side.
The Stratosphere. Enjoy the annual Red, White and Boom fireworks show. Launch site is the top of the hotel's parking lot. Launch time is 9:15. You can watch by the Elation pool on the eighth floor. Doors open at 8. Did you know the Strat--at 1,149 feet- is the the tallest free-standing observation tower in the U.S.
The City of Henderson. Head out to Heritage Park for both FREE fireworks and parking. The live entertainment starts at 6 with the fireworks blasting at 9.
TPC Summerlin. The Las Vegas Philharmonic performs at the Star-Spangled Spectacular. The party starts at 5, the symphony performs at 8 and the sky lights up at 9. General admission is $10 and you can pay $125 for reserved lawn seating.
At home on your computer. My dog is deathly afraid of the pop of fireworks. So I am staying home. But I can watch the fireworks on computer at my real estate company's cloud office. Go to invite.exprealty.com to download our cloud office. Then put your cursor over the "GO TO" button on the top left. Go to the beach and enjoy the fireworks.
Here's a preview.
