Las Vegas The Fourth Most Dog Friendly City In The US
Las Vegas is a great place to live for humans. But it's also a great place for dogs.
Rover.com, the nation's largest network of dog sitters, just completed a 1,600-city study to determine the best place to live if you happen to be a canine. It considered factors like the dog population, access to vets and amenities like dog parks.
Las Vegas ranked No. 4 with a score of 91 out of 100. The fact that there are more than 20 off-leash dog parks and 300 sunny days a year to visit them surely helped.
Here are the top five dog-friendly cities:
1. Naples, FL
2. Austin (Doga is dog yoga)
3. Chicago (There's a beach for dogs)
4. Las Vegas
5. West Hollywood, CA
I known first hand how Las Vegans love their dogs. I had one family whose only criteria for the purchase of their next home was to have a swimming pool long and shallow enough for their yellow lab to swim laps. We love our pooches!
